Cherokee people farmed and hunted. The men hunted bufdalo, raccon, squirrel, bison, deer, bear and they fished catfish, clams and salmon. The women grew corn, plums,berries, mushrooms, wild greens, wild rice, potaties, beans and sunflowers. With this food they made soup, stew, and bread.
Religion:
Cherokee people believed they should worship the sun. Also that water beetles took some dirt from under the water and that's how there became land. Cherokee Indians also believed the moon and stars are brother and sister.
Climate:
In the summer time it was very hot.
In the winter mildly cold.
It rained a a lot too.
Entertainment:
Drums, painting, stick ball, marbles, singing, river cane flute, turtle shell, buffalo horns, long neck gourds, and conch shells.
Culture:
Woman wore sleeve dresses made of deer skin that is pinned to there chest. The men colored the body with paint and had to where a belt until they got married.The children were naked in the warm days. The men wore earrings made of stone. Also all Cherokee people wore moccasins.
